Trick or Treat!

halloween001.jpgWho didn't love trick-or-treating as a kid? You got to wear cool costumes (although we New England kids often suffered the indignity of having to wear our snowsuits on particularly cold Halloween nights) ... your parents let you stay out past your bedtime ... and then there are those piles of candy that could last you until Christmas!

For the kid in all of us, The Daily Top 10 has come up with a list of the Top 10 Halloween Candies of all time.

I don't know if I agree with #1 -- my favorite Halloween candy were always Charleston Chews. What were/are some of your favorite Halloween candies?

My favorite in my treat-or-treat bag was a Kit Kat, although I also considered it a big score to get a popcorn ball too! The item that was not a favorite was the box of raisins. :D

I am a Reese's Cup kind of girl.

You'll be happy to know the dairy mom in me hands out string cheese -- and it's been a surprisingly big hit in our neighborhood, with some kids coming back for seconds.

I'm with you, Holly -- Kit Kats are one of my favorites, ever! The English have Orange (like the Chocolate Orange) Kit Kats, which I think is just not fair.

There were a few old ladies in my neighborhood who gave out pennies. Feh!

What? No miniature sized chocolate bars on the list?!? Old school Hershey, Mr. Goodbar, Nestle Crunch? Reese's Cups have always been my first love, but mini chocolate bars were a close second...
