xmas cheese tree.jpgThe holidays make all of us feel the pinch, but this year many of us are feeling it more than usual. Yet, we're still buying gifts, traveling home, making holiday dinners and doing all the things that make the holidays special.

If you're wondering how you're going to make a holiday celebration just as special (and spectacular) on a smaller budget, we've found a few websites and some great recipes that can help!

simply stated, the Real Simple blog, recently posted the second installment of their "Entertaining on a Budget" series, complete with meal tips, DIY decorating ideas and more for the holidays.

Even The New York Times is getting in on the act, with a feature that talks about inexpensive decorating ideas and how to make a memorable Christmas dinner in Manhattan on a $100 budget.

Many of our recipes are budget-conscious. Our Comfort Food recipes are made with moms in mind: easy on the wallet, but big on taste and kid-appeal. We've also got healthy versions of recipes that will stretch your dollar and not your waistline, and Holiday Recipes that are as tasty as they are easy to make.

Let's hear from you: what money-saving holiday  tips do you have to share?

Oooh I love this Christmas tree cheese/tomato arrangement. Perfect for a party- I'll have to try it.

Hi Hilary!

Yeah, you gotta love it. Why anyone does ice sculptures is a mystery to me... ;)

Best,
Jen
