No, I didn't title this post with a Dutch curseword, although most Dutch sounds that way to me! Kaassschaaf means "cheese slicer", and I got a very cool one (pictured) a Christmas present from a friend who just returned from the Netherlands. Check out the porcelain handle with the ubiquitous windmills! Sinterklaas was good to me this year, if a few days late -- he comes on December 5th in Holland!
In the spirit of all things Dutch, I might have to post a cheesy stamppot recipe one of these days.
In the meantime, all I need is a nice block of cheese...
